This is true. When you are happy, everything is beautiful! You have happy-goggles on. But, when you’re sad, there’s a little more scrutiny in life. You start being more judgy-wudgy. You begin to think, “Why is the sun shining?” Then you come to the conclusions of whatever you heart and mind agree. Haven’t you ever been sad and begin to take notice to something you never really cared about before? For me, it was rain. I always thought it was beautiful. The cleansing it provides, the soothing sounds they create but it wasn’t until I was depressed that I took a deeper look at my feelings of the rain and raindrops on my window. My superficial feelings about this act of Mother Nature evolved by connecting to my current situation. Therefore, acquiring value for me.
